CMOS-BASED INTELLIGENT CAMERA FOR HIGH-END INSPECTION APPLICATIONS

Cameras used for machine vision applications are typically based on charge

coupled device (CCD) sensors, due to their high-image quality. Nevertheless, the

complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) imaging technology has not

disappeared so far from the machine vision field.

"We provide application-specific camera solutions to original equipment

manufacturers in three different markets: machine vision, medical imaging, and

outdoor imaging," says Joost van Kuijk, vice president, marketing and technology,
